This home near Round Hill, VA was trying to let their homeowner know there was a problem - if only walls could talk! Or do they? We just need to know how to 'listen'. Efflorescense, or white mineral deposits, on the basement block walls, let this homeowner know water was coming into the basement! Moisture, dampness, and stinky smells can damage your home and belongings. That's why this customer called Fortress Foundation Solutions.

Solution

System Designer Sonny Kingsbury went out to the home to provide a thorough inspection and free estimate. Due to his training and experience, Sonny was able to easily diagnose and provide a solution. He recommended our WaterProofing Basement System, which includes WaterGuard and a Triple Safe Sump Pump.

The Triple Safe Sump Pump pumps water out of the house. The back up battery will keep the pump going if the power goes out.

White spots on the cinder block walls are mineral remnants of water coming through the walls for many years.

WaterGuard is laid in the trench carefully jack hammered around the perimeter of the basement. This will drain any water coming in to the Triple Safe Sump Pump.
