This homeowner in Leesburg, Virginia was concerned about the uneven sidewalk leading to the front door. The homeowner was worried about the residents and visitors tripping over the sinking sidewalk. The homeowner gave Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free estimate and a permanent solution. Our system designer, Riley Ethier, informed the homeowner that the sidewalk was sinking due to natural soil erosion and settlement underneath the concrete. To remedy the situation, Riley proposed our PolyLevel system as the permanent solution. PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane foam that is injected beneath the concrete to fill the gaps caused by soil erosion and raise and stabilize the concrete surface. Tim Gregorin took our PolyLevel rig and fixed this sidewalk! Once the PolyLevel Foam had stabilized and leveled the concrete, Tim sealed the joints with our NexusPro Joint Sealant. NexusPro prevents water from getting under the concrete where is can freeze and expand to cause more harm. This homeowner was elated to have peace of mind and the safety of the home restored!

In Lincoln, VA, a homeowner reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions with concerns about their uneven and unsafe pool deck. Our inspection revealed soil movement and surface cracks as the main causes. To fix the issue, we used NexusPro® Joint Sealant to close cracks and protect against water damage, followed by our PolyLevel® system to lift and stabilize the sunken slabs. After injecting the expanding foam beneath the concrete, the deck was restored to a smooth, level, and secure surface. The result was a safer, long-lasting solution that gave the homeowner peace of mind and a renewed outdoor space.
This homeowner in Purcellville, VA had been dealing with basement flooding for 10 years! There were clear watermarks on the walls and the floors. They needed this problem solved permanently because they wanted to finish the basement and use it as a rental space. They knew that finishing the space without fixing the problem would lead to further issues and they couldn't in good conscious let someone rent and live in it. Water can cause damage to the walls and personal belongings, cause mold to grow, and affect the air quality of the basement and the rest of the home. The homeowner called Fortress Foundation Solutions for help. System designer Caleb Stone went out and gave them a free estimate and proposed a solution. They trusted Caleb's knowledge and expertise and accepted Fortress's help. Foreman Clarence Copeland and his crew went out and installed a full perimeter system with our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain. WaterGuard is the best choice for waterproofing a basement. It's installed below the floor slab and rests on top of the foundation footing which keeps it from potentially getting clogged by mud. WaterGuard is installed with minimal invasion of the slab and all concrete is restored after. This system flows into our TripleSafe Sump Pump, which has two pumps capable of pumping up to 6,120 gallons of water per hour. In the case of a power outage, a third pump runs on a battery backup and can pump up to 11,500 gallons per hour. This job was finished off with our CleanSpace wall to give the basement a bright and clean look for finishing in the future. This homeowner can now do any renovations to the basement they want and can be sure it will be protected!
