Silver Spring, Maryland Basement Waterproofing Project
Challenge
Rasesh in Silver Spring had been dealing with a basement that felt constantly damp, even when there hadn’t been rain for days. The walls showed signs of moisture, and there was a faint but persistent odor in the air.
He initially thought it might be a ventilation issue, but after noticing water seepage during a particularly heavy storm, it became clear something more serious was going on.
During our evaluation, we found that groundwater was building up around the foundation and slowly making its way inside. The pressure from the saturated soil was pushing moisture through the concrete, especially along the cove joint.
Solution
Instead of a temporary fix, we installed a full interior waterproofing system designed to handle the problem at its source. A WaterGuard® system was placed beneath the slab to intercept water before it entered the living space.
We paired that with a TripleSafe™ sump pump system to ensure dependable water removal, even during peak conditions. To address the constant dampness, we also installed a SaniDry™ Sedona Dehumidifier to regulate humidity levels year-round.
Rasesh now has a basement that feels dry, clean, and usable—without that lingering dampness he had gotten used to, all backed by a Lifetime Warranty!
