Concrete Repair on Purcellville, Virgina Home
Challenge
Sue in Purcellville had been dealing with an uneven walkway for quite some time. What started as a slight dip in one section of the concrete had gradually turned into a noticeable tripping hazard.
Guests had started pointing it out, and after nearly catching her toe on the raised edge one too many times, Sue knew it was time to address it. She was also concerned about water pooling near the settled section, especially after heavy rain.
When we took a closer look, we found that the soil beneath the concrete had shifted and settled over time, creating voids that allowed the slab to sink. It’s a common issue—but one that only gets worse if left alone.
Solution
We recommended lifting and leveling the concrete using our PolyLevel® system.
Our team drilled small, precise holes into the affected slab and injected high-density polyurethane foam beneath it. As the foam expanded, it filled the empty spaces and gently raised the concrete back to its original position.
The process was quick, clean, and far less disruptive than replacing the slab entirely. In just a short time, Sue’s walkway was level again, eliminating the tripping hazard and improving drainage.
