Major Foundation Repair Project in Marion, Virginia
Challenge
Kelly in Marion, Virginia was dealing with serious structural issues both inside and outside the home. In the basement, one wall had started bowing inward, while outside, signs of foundation settlement were becoming increasingly noticeable.
Cracks, shifting, and structural movement had turned into a major concern, making it clear the home needed immediate attention.
After a full inspection, we found that pressure from the surrounding soil had caused the basement wall to move inward, while sections of the foundation were settling unevenly due to unstable soils beneath the home.
Solution
Because of the extent of the damage, Toby and his crew installed multiple systems to address both problems at once.
Inside the basement, we installed 6 PowerBrace® beams to stabilize the bowing wall and prevent further inward movement. Outside the home, the team installed 9 Push Piers and 6 Helical Piers to support and stabilize the settling foundation.
By the time the project was complete, the home was fully reinforced and significantly more stable. Kelly now has long-term structural support in place and peace of mind knowing the foundation issues were properly addressed.
