Floor Support and Encapsualtion in Stuanton, Virginia Home
Challenge
Jackie in Staunton, Virginia was dealing with problems both above and below the floor. Parts of the home were feeling uneven and bouncy, while the crawl space itself was exposed to moisture and humidity. It was clear that the floor system needed stronger support and the crawl space needed better protection.
Solution
We installed 9 SmartJack supports along with a steel supplemental beam to reinforce the floor system and provide solid, long-term support beneath the home. The crawl space was then sealed with CleanSpace to block out ground moisture, while SilverGlo insulation was added along the walls to improve energy efficiency and temperature control.
To keep humidity under control, we finished the system with a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, helping maintain a consistently dry environment throughout the year.
