Jim in Charlottesville had been noticing a musty smell in his home along with a damp, heavy feeling in the air—especially during the warmer months. Realizing something wasn’t right, he reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions and scheduled a FREE inspection. Our team evaluated the crawl space and found excess moisture, signs of organic growth, and ineffective insulation.   After reviewing the plan, Jim decided to move forward with the work. Our crew first treated the affected areas with Mold-X to eliminate the organic growth, then installed a CleanSpace® vapor barrier to seal out moisture. SilverGlo™ insulation panels were added along the walls to improve energy efficiency, and a SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier was installed to control humidity moving forward.   Now, the crawl space is clean, dry, and properly insulated. Jim can enjoy fresher air and a more comfortable home year-round.
