Front porch stoop rescue in Boyds, Maryland

Challenge

In Boyds, Maryland, homeowner Vivek had lived in this home for 5 years when they started noticing the front porch slowly sloping forward. Over time, a void began underneath the stoop. Every time it rained, water would puddle in the area, eventually washing out the soil beneath the concrete and causing the void. The sinking stoop had become both a tripping hazard and an eyesore outside the home.

Solution

System Designer Joe came out to inspect the issue and put together a repair plan. Ethan, our PolyLevel foreman, along with co-foreman Samuel, injected PolyLevel foam beneath the stoop. The foam compressed the loose soil underneath, filled the voids, and carefully lifted the stoop back toward its original position
