Crawl Space Encapsulation in Green Spring, WV
Challenge
Following a string of heavy storms, a homeowner in Green Spring, West Virginia found standing water and mud inside their crawl space. The excess moisture had ruined insulation and caused the air in the home to feel damp and musty. They contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions to eliminate the flooding and restore the space.
Solution
Our System Design Specialist determined that surface and groundwater intrusion was the main issue. The team began by installing the CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier, a thick, durable liner that completely encapsulated the crawl space to prevent future moisture entry.
The TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System was added to collect and discharge water efficiently, ensuring continuous operation even during power outages. To maintain optimal humidity, the
SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier was installed, keeping the crawl space dry and protected.
After the project, the homeowner’s crawl space remained clean, flood-free, and healthy, even during subsequent rainstorms.
