Crawl Space Encapsulation in Keysville, Virginia
Challenge
In Keysville, Virginia, a homeowner regularly found standing water in their crawl space after rainfall. Even moderate storms caused pooling across the dirt floor, leaving insulation soaked and floor framing exposed to prolonged moisture. Over time, the homeowner began to notice a strong musty smell inside the house, as well as increased humidity on the first floor.
They worried that continued exposure to water would eventually compromise the home’s structure, damage HVAC equipment, and lead to costly repairs if left unaddressed.
Solution
Our team designed a comprehensive moisture management system focused on both water control and long-term protection. We installed the CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier to fully encapsulate the crawl space, sealing it from ground moisture and directing any water movement beneath the liner away from the structure.
To maintain a dry environment long-term, we installed the SaniDry™ Sedona, which continuously removes excess humidity and filters the air.
After the system was installed, the crawl space remained dry even after heavy rainfall, odors were eliminated, and the homeowner gained peace of mind knowing their crawl space was fully protected against chronic water issues.
