Crawl Space Repair in Goode, Virginia
Challenge
In Goode, Virginia, a homeowner reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions after discovering standing water in their crawl space following heavy rainstorms. The water soaked the soil and caused fiberglass insulation to fall from between the floor joists. Over time, the damp conditions created mold growth and attracted insects and rodents. Inside the home, the floors felt cold, and the air had a persistent damp smell.
The homeowner feared that if the moisture was not addressed, it could lead to rotting wood, structural issues, and expensive repairs. They needed a reliable way to keep their crawl space dry year-round.
Solution
Our team installed the CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier System to isolate the crawl space from the wet ground below. The liner sealed the floor and walls, preventing moisture vapor from rising into the space.
To maintain dry air and prevent mold growth, we added the SaniDry™ Sedona, which continuously dehumidifies the crawl space while filtering the air.
Once complete, standing water was no longer an issue, humidity levels dropped dramatically, and the crawl space became a clean, dry environment that protected the entire home.
