A homeowner in Palmyra, Jacob W., contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions after noticing cold floors in the winter and a persistent damp odor throughout his home. The issue became more noticeable after heavy rain, leading him to suspect moisture problems in the crawl space.
Our inspection revealed exposed dirt floors, high humidity levels, and insulation that had deteriorated due to moisture exposure. Ground moisture was entering the crawl space without restriction, creating a damp environment beneath the home. Condensation was also present on ductwork, further contributing to the problem. Without proper moisture control, the conditions could lead to mold growth and structural damage over time.
