A homeowner in Frederick, Bruce, contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions after noticing that portions of his floors felt uneven and slightly bouncy. Over time, the issue became more noticeable, especially in high-traffic areas of the home. Doors and cabinets also began to show signs of misalignment, indicating potential structural concerns beneath the floor.
During our inspection, we found that the crawl space support system had weakened over time. Existing support posts were undersized and settling into the soil, while the floor joists showed signs of stress from prolonged sagging. Moisture conditions in the crawl space had also contributed to the deterioration of structural components.

Each SmartJack® was carefully adjusted to lift and level the floor system, restoring proper alignment and reducing bounce. The system also reinforced the existing floor structure and prevented further settlement.
