Crawl Space Encapsulation in Riner, Virginia
Challenge
Trisha in Riner started noticing that her home just didn’t feel as comfortable as it used to. There was a persistent dampness in the air, and certain areas of the floor felt cooler and slightly soft underfoot.
After heavy rains, the issue became even more noticeable, which led her to suspect something might be going on beneath the house.
When we inspected the crawl space, we found elevated moisture levels, exposed soil, and insulation that had already begun to break down. The space was allowing moisture to build up, which was affecting both the structure and the air quality of the home.
Solution
To address the problem, we installed a full crawl space encapsulation system.
The CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier was installed across the floor and walls to block moisture from entering the space. We added SilverGlo™ insulation panels to help regulate temperature and improve efficiency.
To keep everything dry moving forward, we installed a SaniDry™ Sedona Dehumidifier to control humidity levels year-round.
After the installation, Trisha’s crawl space was clean, dry, and stable. The air inside her home felt noticeably better, and the overall comfort improved right away—turning what had been an ongoing concern into a fully resolved issue.
