Waynesboro, VA Crawl Space Encapsulation Project
Challenge
Lucille in Waynesboro, Virginia had started noticing signs of moisture issues coming from her crawl space. The area beneath the home was staying damp and unprotected, and she wanted to address the problem before it led to bigger concerns like mold, poor air quality, or structural damage.
After inspecting the 1,500 square foot crawl space, we found standing moisture and poor drainage contributing to the unhealthy conditions beneath the home.
Solution
Warren and his crew installed a complete system to dry and protect the crawl space long-term.
First, we installed an EZ Flow drainage system to collect and direct water away from the area, along with a SuperSump® system to efficiently remove any water that entered the space.
Then, to seal out ground moisture, the crew installed the CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier throughout the crawl space. SilverGlo™ insulation was also added along the walls to improve energy efficiency and help regulate temperatures year-round.
By the time the project was complete, Lucille’s crawl space was clean, dry, and fully protected. She now has peace of mind knowing the area beneath her home is sealed and built to stay that way for years to come.
