Crawl Space Encapsulation in Forest, Virginia
Challenge
David in Forest, Virginia wanted to get ahead of the moisture problems in his crawl space before they turned into something more serious. The space was holding excess humidity and lacked the protection needed to keep conditions dry and controlled long-term.
Concerned about the potential for mold, poor air quality, and energy loss, David reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions for a permanent solution.
Solution
To create a healthier and more efficient crawl space environment, we installed a full encapsulation system beneath the home.
The team installed the CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier throughout the crawl space to seal out ground moisture and create a cleaner, more controlled environment. SilverGlo™ insulation was added along the walls to improve energy efficiency and help maintain more consistent temperatures inside the home.
To manage humidity year-round, we also installed a SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier to help keep the crawl space dry and protected long-term.
By the time the project was complete, the crawl space was clean, sealed, and much healthier overall. David now has lasting moisture control in place and greater peace of mind knowing his home is better protected moving forward.
