Crawl Space Encapsulation Project in Moneta, Virginia
Challenge
Ronald in Moneta, Virginia was tired of dealing with moisture problems that were originating from his crawl space. The damp conditions beneath the home were allowing humidity to creep into the living space, creating concerns about comfort, air quality, and potential long-term damage.
Wanting a permanent solution, Ronald reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions to have the crawl space properly sealed and protected.
Solution
To create a dry, controlled environment beneath the home, we installed a complete crawl space encapsulation system.
The project began with our EZ Flow drainage system to help manage water beneath the crawl space, along with a SuperSump® sump pump to efficiently remove any water that entered the area. We then installed the CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier throughout the crawl space to seal out ground moisture and added SilverGlo™ insulation along the walls to improve energy efficiency and temperature control.
Once the space was fully sealed, we installed a SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier to keep humidity levels under control year-round.
By the time the project was complete, Ronald's crawl space had been completely transformed. The area is now dry, clean, and protected from moisture, helping create a healthier and more energy-efficient home.
