Crawl Space Encapsulation and Floor Support Project in Winchester, Virginia
Challenge
Joshua in Winchester, Virginia was dealing with several issues in his crawl space. High humidity levels had weakened his floor joists, causing floor sagging upstairs. Water had begun to make its way in during heavy rains and flooded the space, leading to even higher humidity levels, and causing the potential for mold growth.
Solution
Our team installed several solutions to repair Joshua's crawl space and prevent these from happening again. First we sprayed our MoldX Solution to remove any organic growth. We then installed our EzFlow drainage system and sump pump to remove any incoming water from the crawl space. We put up 8 SmartJacks to support the weakened floor joists, and then encapsulated the space with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, SilverGlo Insulation, and Sedona Dehumidifer.
