The basement of this home in Halifax had a problem with water seeping in through the foundation during long periods of rain. The homeowner reached out to Fortress for a solution to their problem.Our System Designer, Scott Llewellyn, went out to assess this home and determined that the best solution would be to install our WaterGuard XL System along the perimeter of the basement, along with a SuperSump sump pump, and a SaniDry XP dehumidifier.WaterGuard System is designed to capture any wall or floor seepage before it reaches the basement floor, any water will then drain to the SuperSump and be pumped out of the home. Together these products will ensure that this basement will remain dry!
This homeowner in Halifax,VA called Fortress Foundation Solutions with concern about water coming into the basement along with a wall that was beginning to bow inward. Our System Designer was able to go out to this home and provide a permanent solution. Our Foreman,and his crew went to install the following products that were suggested by our System Designer. This solution included Power Braces. Power Braces help to support a weakened wall. This product prevents the wall from collapsing any further. Our crew also installed our Water Guard system. This system uses a sump pump to pump water out of the home through a discharge that is placed outside of the home. To insure no humidity and moisture was in the home, this homeowner also purchased a SaniDry Dehumidifier.
This homeowner in Roanoke,VA called Fortress with concerns about a water coming into the basement. This water coming in also caused an unpleasant musty smell. Our System Designer, was able to go out to the home and give these homeowners a piece of mind with a permanent solution. The best way to fix this issue was installing our WaterGuard system, along with our Triplesafe sump pump. Our Foreman, and his crew went out to the home and began to install these products. The crew began preparing the perimeter of the basement for the WaterGuard. Once the WaterGuard is in place, the crew then installed the Triplesafe sump pump. An outside discharge is also installed on the sump pump to allow the water to be pumped out of the basement. We also followed in with drainage stone over top of the WaterGuard. This crushed stone allows the water to easily flow to the WaterGuard, and then to the sump pump. Once the system and the stone are laid, new cement is laid over the system to give it a finished look. The end result was a dry basement that would last years to come.
