Sean M. of Waynesboro called Fortress Foundation Solutions after his open sump pump made his basement stinky and damp and did not solve his water problems. Sean met with Brandon Conner, system designer, who provided a free estimate and this homeowner happily agreed. A Fortress Waterproofing crew was soon onsite installing WaterGuard and a Triple Safe Sump Pump, as well as, filling in the old sump well. Now Sean has a dry, healthy basement with no more odors!
This homeowner in Waynesboro, Virginia began noticing bouncy floors, colder rooms in the winter, and a musty smell that would come and go. Knowing something wasn’t right, they reached out to our team and scheduled a FREE inspection. Our system designer evaluated the crawl space and discovered moisture issues, ineffective insulation, and areas where the floor system needed additional support.
After reviewing the proposal, the homeowner chose to move forward with the work. A few weeks later, our crew installed SmartJack supports to stabilize the floors, a CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal out moisture, SilverGlo insulation to help regulate temperature, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control humidity. Now, the crawl space is dry, sealed, and properly supported—leading to stronger floors, more consistent temperatures, and fresher air throughout the home.
Older homes tend to have both a basement and a crawlspace which sometimes can cause issues with the home's foundation. This home was over 100 years old and had floors that were sagging due to the structural supports in the crawlspace. System Designer, Dave Mauldin, went out and provided this homeowner with a permanent solution for the home. He also recommended we complete a full crawlspace encapsulation to ensure there are no more issues with mold and moisture.

These products will continuously work together to keep this basement dry by catching any water seeping in before it reaches the basement floor, then draining the water to the sump pumps where it will be pumped out of the home! This homeowner can now relax during rain storms knowing that their basement will never flood again!
