The sidewalk at this home in Troy was sinking and had become unlevel.
Our System Designer, Zach Bullock, went out and determined that our PolyLevel Injection System would be able to lift that sidewalk back up to it's original position.
The foreman for this, Brian Davis, went out and strategically drilled holes in the concrete where injection ports are then installed. Polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slab. The holes and control joints are then sealed.
This homeowner in Troy, VA called Fortress Foundation Solutions with concerns about the crawl space under the home. The crawl space was holding heavy moisture and mold. Our System Designer was able to visit the homeowners and provide an estimate for a solution. The System Designer recommended an encapsulation of the crawl space. Chris knew our Clean Space Vapor Barrier, SliverGlo Insulation and SaniDry Dehumidifier would elevate all issues in the crawl space for years to come!
When one of Fortress' foundation specialists visited this home he came across many issues. One of the most noticeable issues discovered was the damaged insulation and debris covering the crawl space. Other problems in this crawl space had to do with structural complications and a lack of proper waterproofing. Fortress Foundation Solutions was able to resolve these issues to leave the customer happy with a clean and safe crawl space. One of the first steps the crew made was to remove the malfunctioning insulation. Along with stripping the insulation, they also removed all the crawl space debris. To keep debris from returning, the crew also sealed all vents in the crawl space. After stabilizing the crawl space, drain matting was installed leaving the once nasty crawl space looking spotless!
Daniel J. reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions after discovering standing water and moisture beginning to damage his wooden floor joists. Moisture-saturated insulation was also falling down in his crawl space. How could this be happening? He had laid down plastic over the ground and thought his crawl space would be protected. Many people don't think about the effects moisture has as it rises from the ground under their homes. If left untreated, the moisture will cause thousands of dollars' worth of damage in the future. Our Fortress System Designers help educate customers on protecting their home by providing printed materials, using video media, through conversation, and of course, providing a free estimate for repair. Daniel's crawl space needed EZ Flow drainage, a Smart Sump Sump Pump, CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. EZ Flow directs groundwater to the Smart Sump, which pumps the water outside the home. The CleanSpace Vapor Barrier seals off the home from the damp/wet ground below. The SaniDry Sedona removes excess moisture, keeping the area dry and protecting the wood. Daniel's home is his biggest asset. Why wouldn't he want to protect it with his custom solution from Fortress Foundation Solutions?
Buck A. reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions after the settling of his driveway. Over time, a significant tripping hazard had developed. A System Designer was happy to meet with Buck, conducting an inspection and providing a free estimate. Ready for a safe driveway, Buck agreed! Soon, the Fortress PolyLevel crew arrived at the home and began their work. They drilled small holes at intervals into the concrete, filling these holes with PolyLevel until the slab was lifted to the desired height. Once leveled, the tiny holes were filled, and the driveway was restored to its original state. Now, Buck and his family can confidently use the driveway without the fear of tripping!
