In the before photo of this job in Laurel, you can see the sinking concrete that presented both an aesthetic and safety challenge for the homeowner. Fortress Foundation Solutions efficiently resolved this issue with our PolyLevel system. Our experts drilled pea-sized holes in the slab and injected high-strength polyurethane foam to lift it back to an even position. Notice in the after photo how the concrete has been neatly leveled, ensuring long-term stability and peace of mind for the homeowner. You can trust us with your concrete leveling needs.
Theresa I. of Ellicott City, MD, wanted to finish her basement for added living space. However, water coming in had made this impossible. She called Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free estimate to get her basement waterproofed. After meeting with System Designer Riley Ethier, and having all her questions answered, she was ready for a dry basement! It was important to her to have the sump pump out of sight, so Riley found the perfect place - under the stairs! Now all of the basement can be used for added living space. Our system designers and crews work hard to accommodate customer's wants and needs as often as possible. Nick Mori and his crew took care of Theresa's home by installing a WaterGuard drainage system and Triple Safe Sump Pump. All water entering the basement will flow into the WaterGuard, will be gravity fed to the sump pump where it will be pumped out and away from the home. The Triple Safe has a battery back up and will continue to pump even if the power goes out. Now Theresa's basement is a dry, blank slate for her to finish the space she has been dreaming about!
In Savage, a homeowner faced persistent crawl space moisture leading to mold and deteriorating air quality. As shown, the area needed comprehensive repair. We addressed this by installing our CleanSpace system to encapsulate the area, blocking moisture and providing lasting protection. The SaniDry Sedona was deployed to regulate humidity effectively, preventing mold and musty odors. Finally, SilverGlo insulation was applied, increasing energy efficiency and acting as a robust moisture barrier. This transformation ensures the crawl space is dry, secure, and healthier for the whole home.
Kyle M. of Savage, MD had some air conditioning issues. While in the crawl space, he noticed the vines growing around his HVAC unit, mold and musty smells. Knowing he needed help, he called Fortress Foundation Solutions. Our System Designer Skylar Beverage inspected his crawl space and provided a free estimate for an encapsulation. An encapsulation would include drainage matting, CleanSpace vapor barrier and a SaniDry Sedona. The CleanSpace seals the ground from the house, keeping moisture and water away from the wood joists. Our SaniDry Sedona is a cutting-edge basement dehumidifier rated for energy efficiency and powerful enough to keep dry air circulating throughout a 3000 square foot area. The Sedona will ensure your crawl space is protected from excess moisture that can lead to mold growth, wood rot and odors, ensuring a dry, clean space. Now Kyle knows his crawl space won't be growing any more plants or fungus. He has protected his biggest investment - his home!
Mary and John of Jessup, MD, noticed their basement walls bowing more and more. There was a horizontal crack at the top of the basement wall. They called the foundation experts - Fortress Foundation Solutions! A System Designer met with them and provided a free estimate to permanently stabilize the walls: our Carbon Armor System. Soon a Fortress crew was onsite preparing the basement walls by grinding down strips. Next, heavy epoxy was applied to the walls and the carbon straps attached. ArmorLock brackets bind and secure the CarbonArmor straps to floor joists making the CarbonArmor solution fast, non-invasive, and ideal for quickly stabilizing bowing and leaning walls. These straps are 10-times stronger than steel, yet flexible enough to contour tightly against the basement wall. Now Mary and John sleep better at night knowing their walls are stabilized!
