Concrete Repair in Goode, Virginia
Challenge
A homeowner in Goode reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions after observing uneven slabs along their backyard patio and pool deck. Several sections had settled at different angles, creating an unstable walking surface and increasing the risk of trips and falls. Water also collected in low areas after rainfall, accelerating surface wear.
During our evaluation, we determined that long-term soil settlement and minor erosion beneath the slabs had caused uneven support. While the concrete surface showed only minor cracking, voids underneath allowed continued movement. The homeowner wanted a long-term solution that would restore a safe, level surface without tearing out the patio.
Solution
Our team performed polyurethane concrete lifting to correct the settlement. After drilling small, discrete injection points, expanding foam was delivered beneath the affected slabs.
The foam expanded to fill empty spaces and gently raise the concrete back into alignment. The process was carefully controlled to ensure a smooth and even finish across the entire patio surface. Once cured, the foam created a stable base designed to resist further settlement.
Upon completion, the patio and pool deck in Goode were fully leveled, restoring both safety and functionality for outdoor use.
