Smithsburg, MD Concrete Repair Project
Challenge
Jodi in Smithsburg reached out after noticing her driveway had started to sink in several areas. At first, it was just a slight unevenness—but over time, the gaps between slabs became more noticeable, and pulling into the driveway didn’t feel quite as smooth.
She also began to worry about long-term damage, especially with water starting to collect in the lower sections after rain.
During our inspection, we found that the underlying soil had settled and compacted unevenly, causing portions of the concrete to drop. Without proper support beneath it, the slab would continue to shift over time.
Solution
To fix the issue without the need for a full replacement, we used our PolyLevel® concrete lifting system.
We injected the expanding foam beneath the slabs, allowing it to fill voids and lift the concrete back into place. The material cures quickly, meaning the driveway was ready for normal use in a short amount of time.
The result was a smooth, level surface that not only looked better but functioned the way it should. Jodi no longer had to worry about uneven slabs or water pooling—and her driveway felt solid again.
