The basement of this home in Appomattox had water seeping in along the foundation with rain. The homeowner reached out to Fortress for a permanent solution on how to keep their basement dry.

Our System Designer, Scott Llewellyn, went out to assess this home and determined that the best solution would be to install our WaterGuard XL System along the perimeter of the basement, along with a SuperSump sump pump.

Our WaterGuard System is designed to capture any wall or floor seepage before it reaches the basement floor, any water will then drain to the SuperSump and be pumped out of the home. These products will work together to guarantee that this homeowner will never again have to worry about a wet basement!

This basement in Appomattox, Virginia was experiencing water intrusion issues. To solve this problem for the customer, Fortress Foundation Solutions installed our Water Guard French drain system around the perimeter of the basement to catch any incoming water and then take it to our Triple Safe sump pump that we also put in. 

The homeowners of this 100 year old home in Appomattox, VA called Fortress Foundation Solutions with concerns of the crawl space under this home. This area was cold and moldy. Our system designer was able to come out and meet with the homeowners to determine a permanent solution. After a  close look, the System Designer could see this area was in need of an encapsulation. Our system designer recommended our Silver Glo wall insulation to keep this are from getting cold. Our System Designer also knew the mold needed to be taken care of as well, so our company was able to remediate the mold as well. Our Foreman and his crew began this project by leveling the crawlspace. Next the installed the Silver Glo to the wall, finally they installed out Clean Space Vapor Barrier. Our crew also installed a Sani Dry Dehumidifier to control the humidity levels in the home. 

This home has been in the family for many years with the current owner having been born and raised there. They reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions to explore options to prevent water intrusion in certain areas in their basement. Our System Designer, Brandon Conner, went out to inspect the home and developed a permanent waterproofing solution. Our Foreman, Andre Luck and his crew installed a Waterguard XL drainage system and a trench drain by the outside basement door, in addition to a TripleSafe Sump Pump to divert water out and away from the home, permanently preventing water entering the basement in the future.

This Appomattox homeowner knew she had sagging floors, but didn't know about the mold problem until her plumber pointed it out and told her to call the experts - Fortress Foundation Solutions. Caleb Stone was quick to provide her with a free estimate and she agreed to get that mold out of her home! Our foreman, Lucky, and his crew went to work and soon it was bye-bye mold. They then installed Smart Jacks to lift and stabilize her sagging floor joists and finished by encapsulating the entire crawl space with CleanSpace. Now ground moisture is locked away preventing further mold growth and wood rot. Clean, mold-free air flows from the crawl space up into the home making it safe and secure!
