This crawlspace in Burkeville had been sagging and moisture was also getting in, causing a problem for the homeowners. Fortress Foundation Solutions installed our Smart Jacks to support and level the floors above and keep them in one position. We also installed our a Clean space liner and a Smart Sump to catch any water and take it away from the home. We left the homeowner with a dry, sturdy crawl space and a smile on their face!
Lydia F. of Hume, VA, called Fortress Foundation Solutions. She needed better access to her crawl space and wanted a free estimate for a new door. After completing his inspection, System Designer Paul Heckman provided a proposal for a heck-of-a-deal! Lydia was surprised to find that Fortress could remove part of the wall under a window and install a new door. The EverLast™ crawl space doors from Basement Systems are made from ½-in.-thick PVC plastic and are practically indestructible. Unlike wooden doors, EverLast™ doors will never warp, crack, shrink or require maintenance or painting. Heavy-duty weatherstripping provides an air and water tight seal. Once the installation knobs are tightened, the interior of your crawl space is fully isolated from exterior critters and conditions. Now Lydia can easily get into her crawl space and is confident it is well protected.
This homeowner called Fortress for quotes on a full crawl space encapsulation. Tired of dealing with damp, dirty crawl space, they decided it was time to act. We sent Danny, one of our expert system designers out to the home to provide a full inspection and come up with a plan. Presenting his proposal to the homeowner, they decided to move forward with the work. A few weeks later one of our crews went out and installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier system to the crawl space. Preventing water intrusion into the space and making it a clean, dry area in the home.
Heather called Fortress Foundation Solutions about water collecting in her basement. After setting an appointment, Paul, one of our expert system designers went out to the home and found water seeping into the basement through the walls. Paul completed a full inspection and presented the homeowner with a proposal and a quote. She was happy with both and decided to move forward with the work. When our Foreman, Travis, and his crew went out to fix the issue, they utilized our WaterGuard drainage solution on the floor below to ensure that any water that was collected drained to the TripleSafe Sump Pump, which was then transferred to the discharge line outside of the home.
This customer is very satisfied with the work and happy that water intrusion will no longer be an issue in her home!
This homeowner in Kents Store contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions because they had some concerns about their foundation. Their cinderblock walls had several cracks and the walls were bowing in some places.
Fortress solved this problem by installing our Push Piers. Push Piers feature a patent-pending external sleeve that strengthens the pier at the critical tension point below the bracket. They are installed next to the footings and attached with a heavy duty steel bracket. Concrete is used to fill the holes around the piers once stabilization and lifting is complete to finish the installation.
