Lyle L. called Fortress Foundation Solutions after noticing musty smells coming from his crawl space. After investigating, he discovered mildew and moisture beginning to damage his wooden floor joists and falling down, moisture-saturated insulation. The plastic he had tried to put down inside the space was not keeping the moisture under control. System Designer Jamey Elder met with Lyle, inspected his crawl space and provided a free estimate for an encapsulation. Soon Warren Dickerson and his crew were onsite installing drainage matting, SilverGlo insulation and CleanSpace vapor barrier. The CleanSpace keeps out moisture and the SilverGlo insulates to keep the home warm in winter and cool in the summer. Lyle has now protected his most important asset - his home!

The basement of this home in Brunswick was wet and really needed our help! 

Our System Designer, Curt Withrow, went out to assess the home and determined that the best solution for this home would be to install our WaterGuard XL System along the perimeter of the basement, along with a SuperSump Sump Pump. 

Our WaterGuard System is designed to capture any wall or floor seepage before it reaches the basement floor, any water will then drain to the SuperSump and be pumped out of the home. Together these products will ensure that this basement will stay dry all year long!

Thomas S., who lives near Oilville, VA, reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions. He was tired of water getting along the front wall of his basement and could no longer use the area for storage. The water was coming through the concrete block and flowing out onto the floor. When the water receded, a chalky white substance was left on the walls. Thomas met with a System Designer who provided the solution, a WaterGuard Drainage System with an Ultra 4 Sump Pump. The WaterGuard is a channel drainage system installed in a trench around the basement perimeter.  Any water entering the basement flows through the WaterGuard directly to the Ultra 4 Sump Pump and is pumped out and away from the home. Now Thomas doesn't have to worry about his belongings becoming moldy or damaged - his basement is dry!
