Linda had begun noticing bowing areas and bouncy sections in the floors of her Blacksburg home. Concerned about the stability of the floor system, she contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions for a permanent repair. Scott and his crew stabilized the floor system by installing 9 SmartJack® supports in the crawl space along with a supplemental steel main beam for added strength.
This customer called Fortress to get a free estimate for a full crawl space encapsulation. We sent Scott, one of our expert system designers out to take a look and come up with a solution. Scott proposed utilizing our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System to fully encapsulate the space to keep out dirt and moisture. We also installed a Sedona SaniDri Dehumidifier to keep the relative humidity down.
This customer came to us with concerns about their musty, damp, and cold crawlspace and a crack in the foundation. To keep the heat in the house from escaping though the crawlspace, Fortress installed Foamax wall insulation. Then, Fortress installed the Flexispan wall crack repair system to fix the crack in the foundation and ensure a firm foundation. Finally, Fortress installed a CleanSpace liner to waterproof the crawl space and address the damp and musty issues the customer was facing.
The owner of this home in Riner reached out to Fortress because they had a crawl space that was damp and dirty, and they wanted a cleaner looking space.
Fortress went out and installed a complete CleanSpace encapsulation. Our CleanSpace vapor barrier is designed to permanently prevent moisture and outside air from getting into your crawlspace. This homeowner now has a much cleaner and brighter crawl space!
