Challenge

This homeowner in Lynchburg, VA was having issues with water coming into the basement of their home. The water coming in was causing musty smells and creating a lot of moisture. After calling Fortress Foundation Solutions, our System Designer, Chris Wilmouth was able to come out to this home and speak with the homeowners about a permanent solution.

Solution

Chris proposed a solution for our Water Guard system. The Water Guard goes around the perimeter of the basement and and directs water to a sump pump. From the sump pump the water is then pumped out of the home through a discharge line. Our Forman, Aaron Looney and his crew installed these the products for the homeowner. The final product was a dry water free basement for years to come.

Before - This photo shows before our crew began work. You can see the water that came into the home and had discolored the floor.

During - In this photo you can see the crew has installed the Water Guard after prepping the area. The next step was to install the sump pump and cover everything with crushed drainage stone.

After - This photo shows once the crew was complete with the work. The crew covered everything with fresh cement for clean finish. To control the moisture in the area we also installed our SaniDry Dehumidifier
