Finding a solution to a lot of water in Little Orleans, MD

Challenge

A homeowner in Little Orleans, MD, contacted us with a serious basement water issue. Water had begun seeping in along one side of their basement—far more than a minor leak. If left unaddressed, it could have led to significant damage and created a high-stress situation for the homeowner. Upon inspection, we identified two key issues: a lack of proper drainage and elevated humidity levels contributing to a damp, uncomfortable environment.

Solution

Fortress Foundation Solutions responded quickly. Our Customer Care team scheduled a free evaluation with one of our experienced System Designers. After assessing the situation, we implemented a comprehensive solution:

• Installed a full perimeter WaterGuard® system, positioned under the floor and on top of the footing to avoid clogging and ensure long-term effectiveness.

• Added IceGuard® protection to the sump pump discharge line, allowing water to flow out even during freezing temperatures.

• Deployed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, effectively reducing humidity and improving air quality while preventing mold growth.
