Waterproofing in Burlington, WV
Challenge
A homeowner in Burlington, West Virginia began noticing damp walls and a sticky, humid feeling throughout their basement, especially during the summer months. Despite having no visible standing water, the environment felt uncomfortable, and the air carried a persistent musty odor. Concerned about potential mold growth and long-term structural damage, the homeowner contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions for a thorough evaluation and permanent fix.
Solution
Our System Design Specialist performed a comprehensive inspection and discovered that moisture was seeping through the foundation walls, and high humidity levels were compounding the problem. To address both water intrusion and air quality, we designed a two-part waterproofing and dehumidification plan.
The installation began with the WaterGuard® sub-floor perimeter drainage system, which captures and directs any wall or floor seepage into the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System. This powerful, triple-layered sump system ensures reliable drainage and flood protection—even during power outages.
To maintain a consistently dry and comfortable environment, the SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier was installed to regulate humidity and eliminate the musty odor.
After the installation, the homeowner immediately noticed a difference—the basement air felt clean, fresh, and dry. The project not only safeguarded their home against future water issues but also created a healthier, more enjoyable living environment.
