Basement waterproofing a home in Boonsboro, MD
Challenge
Julie, a homeowner in Boonsboro, Maryland, was experiencing basement flooding almost every time it rained. She also noticed that one corner of the basement always seemed damp, and black spots had started to appear that looked like mold.
She called Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free evaluation, and we got to work.
Solution
Gustavo and his crew installed an interior waterproofing system called WaterGuard. They jackhammered the perimeter of the basement floor to reach the top of the footer. From there, they installed the WaterGuard system in the trench, tied it into a TripleSafe sump pump system, surrounded it with clean washed stone, and then covered everything back over with concrete.
Once complete, the area can be covered with carpet, flooring, etc. - without having to worry about future leaks.
