Challenge
Allen in Charlottesville, Virginia had grown tired of dealing with water entering his basement whenever heavy rain moved through the area. What started as an occasional nuisance had become an ongoing problem, leading to cleanup, frustration, and concerns about the long-term condition of his foundation.
Wanting a permanent solution rather than constantly managing the symptoms, Allen reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions for help.
Solution
After inspecting the basement, Cope and his crew installed a complete waterproofing system to keep water under control and protect the space year-round.
The team installed the WaterGuard® drainage system around the perimeter of the basement to capture water before it could reach the floor. To efficiently remove water from the home, 2 SuperSump® sump pumps were installed to provide reliable protection during heavy rain and groundwater conditions.
To finish the system, CleanSpace® Wall was installed along the basement walls to create a clean moisture barrier and help direct any wall seepage into the drainage system.
By the time the project was complete, Allen's basement was dry, clean, and fully protected from water intrusion. He now has peace of mind knowing his basement has a dependable waterproofing system in place and won't require constant attention every time it rains.
