A homeowner in Thurmont, MD had been dealing with ongoing water intrusion in their basement. The space was being used for storage, but moisture problems had caused mold to begin growing on various stored items, making the basement unhealthy and unreliable for long-term use.
Solution
Fortress Foundation Solutions installed a full-perimeter WaterGuard® interior drainage system connected to a TripleSafe™ sump pump system to collect and remove water before it could reach the basement floor. To further protect the space, we installed CleanSpace® wall vapor barrier to help direct water into the drainage system while creating a brighter, cleaner looking basement. The homeowner now has a dry, usable space they can confidently use for storage or future living space.
