This homeowner in Rocky Mount , VA called Fortress with concerns about a water coming into the basement. This water coming in also caused an unpleasant musty smell. Our System Designer, Zach was able to go out to the home and give these homeowners a piece of mind with a permanent solution. The best way to fix this issue was installing our WaterGuard system, along with our Triplesafe sump pump. Our Foreman, and his crew went out to the home and began to install these products. The crew began preparing the perimeter of the basement for the WaterGuard. Once the WaterGuard is in place, the crew then installed the Triplesafe sump pump. An outside discharge is also installed on the sump pump to allow the water to be pumped out of the basement. We also followed in with drainage stone over top of the WaterGuard. This crushed stone allows the water to easily flow to the WaterGuard, and then to the sump pump. Once the system and the stone are laid, new cement is laid over the system to give it a finished look. The end result was a dry basement that would last years to come
This home in Glade Hill, VA had cinder block foundation walls that had started to bow, alarming the homeowner. After doing some research online, the homeowner contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free estimate on how to best resolve their problem.
Our System Designer, Ed, went out to assess this home and determined that the best solution would be to install the PowerBrace Wall Repair System. The PowerBrace System is designed to stabilize failing basement walls and can potentially straighten those walls over time. With this system, Zinc-plated steel beams are custom-fit to the basement wall height and secured tight against the basement wall with brackets anchored to the basement floor and floor joists.

This client called in saying that he wanted someone to come take a look at the water that was leaking into his basement, so he called Fortress Foundation Solutions, who sent out our System Designer, Chris Wilmouth, to take a look. Chris did a thorough inspection of the basement, designed a solution, and gave the client an estimate for the project. The client accepted it, and soon after, our Foreman, Travis Farmer, and his crew came out to complete the job. They installed our WaterGuard all along the edges of the wall, our LawnScape Outlet to drain the water outside, and our IceGuard around that to ensure the drains do not freeze during the winter. Our client was so happy with the result and the work of Travis and his crew that he even called in to our office telling us how wonderful, well-mannered, and professional they all were, and how he would recommend them to others in the future!
