Michael J. of Stephenson, VA, reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions after noticing the severe settling of the walkway to his front door. Over time, a significant tripping hazard had developed. System Designer Chris Wilmouth was happy to meet with Michael, conducting an inspection and providing a same-day estimate. Ready for a safe front walkway, Michael agreed! Soon, the Fortress PolyLevel crew arrived at the home and began their work. They drilled small holes at measured intervals into the concrete, filling these holes with PolyLevel until the walkway was lifted to the desired height. Once leveled, the tiny holes were filled, and the sidewalk was restored to its original state. Now, Michael and his family can confidently walk on the sidewalk without the fear of tripping!
Ed M. of Boston, VA, called Fortress Foundation Solutions after noticing musty smells coming from his crawl space. After investigating, he discovered mildew and moisture beginning to damage his wooden floor joists and falling down, moisture-saturated insulation. How could this be happening? He had laid down plastic over the ground and thought his crawl space would be protected. Many people don't think about the effects moisture has as it rises from the ground under their homes. If left untreated, the moisture will cause thousands of dollars' worth of damage in the future. Our Fortress System Designers help educate customers on protecting their home by providing printed materials, using video media, through conversation, and of course, providing a free estimate for repair. System Designer Sonny Kingsbury met with Ed, inspected his crawl space and provided a free estimate for a SilverGlo insulation, CleanSpace Vapor Barrier and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. After speaking with Sonny, Ed learned that the air in the crawl space flows upward into the home. He didn't want that musty, moldy air getting into his home and decided to move forward.
Soon a Fortress crew was onsite. They began by removing the old falling-down insulation. Next, they installed SilverGlo insulation on the walls. Drainage matting and CleanSpace Vapor Barrier were put down sealing off the ground from the home, reducing moisture. The final step, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was added. It removes excess moisture from the air keeping mold, mildew and wood rot from forming. Now Ed knows the air flowing into his home is clean and healthy and his home is protected!
Josh M. reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions after the settling of his driveway. Over time, a significant tripping hazard had developed. A System Designer was happy to meet with Josh, conducted an inspection and provided a free estimate. Ready for a safe driveway, Josh agreed! Soon, the Fortress PolyLevel crew arrived at the home and began their work. They drilled small holes at intervals into the concrete, filling these holes with PolyLevel until the slab was lifted to the desired height. Once leveled, the tiny holes were filled, and the driveway was restored to its original state. Now, Josh and his family can confidently use the driveway without the fear of tripping!
Ron G. called Fortress Foundation Solutions after discovering moisture issues in his crawl space. Efflorescence had built up on the walls from years of moisture seeping through the block. A System Designer inspected his crawl space and provided a free estimate for an encapsulation. Soon a Fortress crew was onsite installing drainage matting, and CleanSpace vapor barrier. The CleanSpace keeps out moisture protecting the wood joists and keeping the space dry!
This cinderblock wall basement was leaking from the walls. Fortress Foundation Solutions installed a perimeter french drain system and TripleSafe sump pump with external discharge.
