This homeowner in Crewe called Fortress because they had noticed that the floors in their home had started sagging.
After explaining all the issues they were having over the phone, we sent one of our System Designers out to take a look! He recommended our SmartJack Crawl Space Support System. This system provides solid support for undersized beams and restores stability and straightness to sagging floor joists in a crawl space. Fortress Foundation Solutions left this homeowner feeling much happier and safer in their own home!
A homeowner near Jeffersonton, VA had settling of the slab attached to their home for quite a while, but didn't know what to do about it. That's when they saw a Television commercial for Fortress Foundation Solutions and decided to give us a call. Our Customer Care Team Member set them up with a free estimate appointment . A System Designer was soon meeting with them explaining our PolyLevel System, letting them know how it could fix their problem. Ready for a Solution, they agreed and scheduled their installation! Foreman Tim Gregorin and his poly crew set to work drilling small holes at regular intervals, pumping poly foam into the holes to lift and level. After the desired height was reached, the holes were filled back in. The final step was to apply NexusPro on the crack to keep water from entering, freezing and causing damage. Now when this homeowner can enjoy their home again!
A homeowner near Shenandoah Junction, WV, had noticed his front porch settling over the last 10 years. Seeing a commercial on TV for concrete lifting and leveling, he decided to call Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free estimate. System Designer Eddie Salido performed a full inspection and offered a proposal. He recommended our PolyLevel Foam Injection System. This process effectively lifts and levels concrete by injecting foam into small holes drilled into the concrete. The holes are then filled in and are unnoticeable. This before photo clearly shows the height difference between the two areas. In the after photo the two pieces of concrete are now even. This homeowner can enjoy their front porch once again!
Carlos H. called Fortress Foundation Solutions after moving into his home and finding out the old sump pump no longer kept his basement dry. Pooling water had created high moisture levels and a bad smell. System Designer Danny Camunas was scheduled for a free estimate. After completing the inspection, he offered a same-day proposal for our WaterGuard Drainage system. Ready for a permanent solution, Carlos agreed. Foreman Clarence Copeland "Cope" and his crew installed a WaterGuard drainage system so all water entering the home flows to the sump pump. The Smart Sump sump pump has a closed lid so moisture and bad odors aren't released from the sump pump. Now Carlo has the dry basement he always wanted with no bad odors.
This crawlspace had major moisture issues. The homeowner approached Fortress Foundation Solutions because they were interested in keeping their crawlspace dry. The homeowners stated that he could not see any mold at the current time, but he did not want to risk the fact that mold could potentially grow in his crawlspace. Not only was his crawlspace damp, but it was also extremely dirty. The sump pump in the crawlspace was not very efficient and the crawlspace definitely needed a dehumidifier. Fortress began their work by removing all of the crawlspace’s debris. Next, we installed CleanSpace drain matting. Not only did Fortress cover the walls of the crawlspace, but we even wrapped the crawlspace’s columns. Fortress then replaced the crawlspace’s sump pump with a Smart Sump System (better quality pump) and installed a Sanidry XP (dehumidifier) to remove the unwanted water from the crawlspace air. This water exited the crawlspace by pump discharge units and LawnScape (which directs the water away from the house). Along with these other installations, Fortress also sealed of the crawlspace’s vents. Closing the vents of your crawlspace is one of the best improvements you can make to create a cleaner and more energy efficient space. The last thing that Fortress installed was an Everlast crawlspace door. This crawlspace is now moisture free and completely inhabitable to mold.
