Our client noticed water damage in their basement, and knew immediately that it requited more than a quick DIY fix. Wanting to find a company that would be professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy to work on his home, he reached out to Fortress for an estimate. System Designer Chris Guill went out to the home to asses the needs of the basement. He determined that a full waterproofing system would be necessary to stop further damage from being done. Soon after, our team went out to install a SuperSump and WaterGuard which will catch and drain any water attempting to enter the space.
This homeowner in Bluemont reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions because they had been dealing with water intrusion in the crawl space of their home, and that had caused the floors of the home to sag. They wanted these issues resolved.
To resolve these issues, Fortress went out and installed a complete CleanSpace encapsulation, along with a SmartSump Crawl Space Sump Pump System, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. Together these products will keep the crawl space clean and dry, and prevent future moisture related issues. The SmartJack System was installed to permanently support and stabilize those sagging floors.
A customer near Marshall, VA, called Fortress Foundation Solutions. Their driveway had been dropping over the last few years and they were ready to have it repaired. System Designer Sonny Kingsbury, performed an inspection and explained the PolyLevel Foam System and how it could lift their driveway. Once all questions were answered, they decided to move forward. Soon Foreman Tim Gregorin and his poly crew set to work drilling small holes at regular intervals, pumping poly foam into the holes to lift and level. After the desired height was reached, the holes were filled back in. The final step was to apply NexusPro on the crack to keep water from entering, freezing and causing damage. Now when this homeowner can enjoy their driveway again!
Luke Q., a homeowner near Marshall, VA, reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions. His basement was unsightly, damp and water came in with rain storms making it unusable. He met with a System Designer who provided the solution of a WaterGuard System with an Ultra 4 Sump Pump. The WaterGuard is a channel drainage system installed in a trench around the basement perimeter. Any water entering the basement flows through the WaterGuard directly to the Ultra Sump Pump and is pumped out and away from the home. Luke also chose to have CleanSpace installed on the walls. This antimicrobial vapor barrier channels any water entering the walls down and into the WaterGuard where it is pumped out. The white color brightens the space as well. Now Luke has the option to use his basement for anything he chooses - it is dry, clean and light!
Tom K. had taken a look in his crawl space to see about some plumbing repairs and was shocked by the stinky, musty smell coming from it. He called Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free estimate. A System Designer met with Tom, inspected his crawl space and provided a free estimate for an encapsulation. Soon a Fortress crew was onsite installing drainage matting, CleanSpace vapor barrier, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The CleanSpace is in place to seal the home from the damp earth. Moisture and its damaging effects on the wood structure of the home are kept out. The final step is the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. It removes moisture from the air keeping the crawl space dry. When Tom looks into his crawl space now, it is clean, dry and he knows his home is protected!
