When Wendell C. of Palmyra, VA, went into his crawl space, he found a pond had formed! Knowing this was NOT good for any home, he called Fortress Foundation Solutions. System Designer, Caleb Stone, met with Wendell, inspected his crawl space and provided a free estimate. Ready to be rid of the water, Wendell agreed. Soon foreman Warren Dickerson was onsite installing EZFlow pipe that drains all water to the Triple Safe sump pump where it is pumped away from the house. The CleanSpace vapor barrier seals off the ground from the home and the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier removes moisture from the air. Now Wendell's crawl space is dry, clean and his home is protected!
A homeowner had noticed several soft spots in her floor. She had a kitchen remodel a few years back and installed granite countertops, an island and a larger refrigerator. Now her floor was beginning to sag under the added weight. She reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions. Our System Designer met with her, providing a free estimate for SmartJack® Crawl Space Stabilizers. These are an adjustable supplemental support system used for sagging crawl spaces. They not only provide supplemental support, but can often lift failing floor joists or beams, restoring them to their original position. Now this homeowner can confidently walk in her kitchen without feeling like she will fall through the floor!
This homeowners sidewalk was uneven and a tripping hazard. Fortress leveled out the sidewalk by using the Poly Level Injection System. Now the sidewalk looks brand new!
This basement in Troy, VA was in pretty bad shape. It was dirty, moldy, and water stained from repeated flooding. Fortress restored this basement by installing a full perimeter WaterGuard with a TripleSafe Sump System and Basement to Beautiful Insulated Wall Panels to insulate the basement and prep it for finishing.
The sidewalk at this home in Troy was sinking and had become unlevel.
Our System Designer, Zach Bullock, went out and determined that our PolyLevel Injection System would be able to lift that sidewalk back up to it's original position.
The foreman for this, Brian Davis, went out and strategically drilled holes in the concrete where injection ports are then installed. Polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slab. The holes and control joints are then sealed.
