Smithsburg homeowners called Fortress after discovering water intrusion coming through their concrete basement wall. Needing a professional solution, they reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions. We sent Skylar, one of our skilled System Designers, to inspect the home.
Skylar recommended installing 19 feet of WaterGuard® and 19 feet of CleanSpace® Wall System to capture and redirect the water. The homeowners already had an operational sump pump, which Gustavo and his crew tied the new system into, creating a complete waterproofing solution.
In Thurmont, MD, a homeowner had been dealing with ongoing water intrusion and finally reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions for a permanent solution. In the before photos, you can see how the homeowner was using the basement for storage, but moisture issues had caused mold to begin growing on various stored items.
To solve the problem, Fortress installed a full-perimeter interior waterproofing system featuring WaterGuard®, connected to a TripleSafe™ sump pump system. We also installed CleanSpace® wall vapor barrier to help direct water to the drainage system while brightening the appearance of the basement.
Now, the homeowner can confidently use their basement for storage or future living space without worrying about water intrusion.
