This customer in Fort Belvoir called Fortress Foundation Solutions after noticing water intrusion in their crawl space. Fortress sent a system designer out to conduct a free estimate and inspection. The customer was pleased with the proposal and went forward with the work. Our crews installed a water proofing system with a sump pump, covered with dimple matting and our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier system to give this customer peace of mind!
This homeowner's crawlspace was in bad shape. It was holding a lot of moisture, causing the insullation to fall and the air quality to be less than ideal. A damp crawlspace can also threaten the integrity of the home by weakening the floor joists and beams. They called Fortress Foundation Solutions for help. Our systems designer went out and gave them a free estimate and proposed a solution to save their crawlspace. A crew installed a full encapsulation using our CleanSpace vapor barrier and SilverGlo insulation. They also installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which acts as an air purifier as well as a dehumidifier. This crawlspace is now safe from moisture and critters and has been turned into a usable space for storage. On top of all that, the homeowners can have peace of mind that they are breathing the cleanest air thanks to the SaniDry Sedona.

At a recent home show in Libertytown, MD, a homeowner shared concerns about sagging floors, launching us into action. As you can see in the before photo, their crawl space was in desperate need of care. In Stephenson, Katie had been dealing with ongoing moisture problems in her large 1,700-square-foot crawl space. Excess humidity and water intrusion were creating concerns about air quality, energy efficiency, and potential long-term damage beneath the home. During our inspection, we found standing moisture, poor drainage, and consistently high humidity levels throughout the crawl space.
Scott and the crew installed a complete crawl space encapsulation system designed to permanently control moisture and protect the home. An EZ Flow drainage system was added to direct water away from the crawl space, along with two TripleSafe™ sump pumps for reliable water removal and backup protection.
To fully seal the space, we installed our CleanSpace® vapor barrier to lock out ground moisture and create a clean, controlled environment. SilverGlo™ wall insulation was added to improve energy efficiency and temperature regulation, while two SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifiers were installed to maintain healthy humidity levels throughout the crawl space.
As shown in the after photos, the crawl space is now clean, dry, and fully protected—giving Katie a healthier, more energy-efficient home with long-lasting moisture protection.
