Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

The homeowners of this 100 year old home in Appomattox, VA called Fortress Foundation Solutions with concerns of the crawl space under this home. This area was cold and moldy. Our system designer was able to come out and meet with the homeowners to determine a permanent solution. After a  close look, the System Designer could see this area was in need of an encapsulation. Our system designer recommended our Silver Glo wall insulation to keep this are from getting cold. Our System Designer also knew the mold needed to be taken care of as well, so our company was able to remediate the mold as well. Our Foreman and his crew began this project by leveling the crawlspace. Next the installed the Silver Glo to the wall, finally they installed out Clean Space Vapor Barrier. Our crew also installed a Sani Dry Dehumidifier to control the humidity levels in the home. 

This Appomattox, VA home had an issue with drafty floors and rodents entering the structure and needed a solution to prevent further damage.

Our Systems Design Specialst, Jamey Elder quickly cam to evaluate the situation. He concluded that the crawl space would need a CleanSpace Liner and Foam insulation along the rim joist. With a plan in place, Cole Mauck and his production team came to the home to start the project. 

CleanSpace Liner was placed in the crawl space and mechanically fastened to the walls and applied foam to the outer band of the space. 

Homeowner Dan Power recently purchased a home in Appomattox, VA. They agreed to the plan, and had WaterGuard, SilverGlo, CleanSpace, and a Sedona SaniDry installed by a crew led by Warren Dickerson. This system would keep their foundation safe from water damage, their energy bills low, and would create more real estate for them to store items in. After the project was complete, they were happy with the installation, and very pleased with how pleasant the process was, saying that "the service and dependability is the best."

They then installed Smart Jacks to lift and stabilize her sagging floor joists and finished by encapsulating the entire crawl space with CleanSpace. Now ground moisture is locked away preventing further mold growth and wood rot. Clean, mold-free air flows from the crawl space up into the home making it safe and secure!

Fortress Foundation Solutions installed CleanSpace drainage matting, CleanSpace vapor barrier, SmartJacks, and a SaniDry XP dehumidifier with external discharge.
