Crawl Space Encapsulation in Vienna, Virginia

Cliff and Megan in Vienna, Virginia started noticing higher humidity in their home along with a light musty smell that wouldn’t go away. After some heavy rains, they suspected moisture might be building up in the crawl space and reached out to our team to schedule a FREE inspection. Our system designer evaluated the space and found ground moisture, poor drainage, and no proper barrier to protect the home from humidity.

After reviewing the proposal, Cliff and Megan decided to move forward with the work. Our crew installed an EZ Flow drainage system to direct water out of the crawl space, along with a SuperSump system to safely discharge any incoming water. We then sealed the area with a CleanSpace vapor barrier and added a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control humidity.

Now, the crawl space is dry and sealed. Cliff and Megan can enjoy lower humidity, no musty odors, and a more comfortable living space.

Waterproofing basement gym in Vienna, Virginia

In Vienna, Virginia, homeowner Anton started his day off on the wrong foot. He woke up before sunrise to get a workout in before work, but when he walked into his personal basement gym, he found water everywhere.

After the heavy rainstorm the night before, Anton knew he needed a permanent solution and reached out to Fortress to come out as soon as possible for a waterproofing estimate. He met with Paul and felt confident in what both Paul and Fortress had to offer.

Just three weeks later, Anton’s basement was professionally waterproofed and his basement gym was saved.

Crawl space encapsulation in Adamstown, MD

In Adamstown, MD, a homeowner was looking to upgrade their crawl space and contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free inspection. Paul, one of our experienced System Designers, performed a thorough evaluation of the crawl space and discovered signs of water intrusion and elevated humidity levels.

After reviewing his findings and recommendations, the homeowners decided to move forward with the project. Our crew removed the hanging insulation, addressed the water issues, installed our drainage system, and tied everything into a TripleSafe™ sump pump system.

While a TripleSafe™ sump pump is not typically necessary in every crawl space, this particular home was taking on a significant amount of water. Based on the conditions, we determined that installing the sump pump was the best long-term solution to properly protect the crawl space and keep it dry.

Downspout extensions in Gaithersburg, Maryland

A homeowner in Gaithersburg, Maryland had noticed that her concrete walkway had started sinking. She was already familiar with Fortress, so she gave us a call. Skylar responded and went out to meet with the homeowner. With his trained eye, Skylar quickly identified exactly what was happening and why.

The home’s downspouts were discharging water too close to the foundation and following the slope of the yard directly toward the concrete walkway. Over time, water would puddle there and wash out the soil underneath, causing the slab to sink.

Ethan and Sammy came out to complete the repair by extending all four downspouts and lifting the walkway back to level seamlessly.
