This customer came to us with concerns about their flooding crawlspace that was damp and cold. To keep the heat in the house from escaping though the crawlspace, Fortress foundation solutions installed SilverGlow insulation. Then, Fortress installed a drainage mat and a CleanSpace liner to waterproof the crawl space and address the damp and musty issues the customer was facing. Fortress also installed a SaniDry Sedona to ensure the crawl space would always be dry.
Sarah called Fortress Foundation Solutions to come out and provide a free inspection and estimate to encapsulate her home's crawl space. She had noticed musty smells in her home for a while but was unable to figure out why. She read online that moisture and humidity in crawl spaces could be the cause and decided to get it checked out.
Riley, one of our expert System Designers, went out to Sarah's property to perform an inspection and concluded that her crawl space was suffering from high humidity, moisture, and organic growth, all contributing to the musty smell she had been noticing. He presented these findings to Sarah, along with a proposal to fix the issues he had found. She was happy with our offerings and decided to move forward with the recommended work.
One of our crews was then scheduled to go out and do a full encapsulation of the crawl space. We utilized our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System, which starts off with our Delta Drainage Matting and is then covered by the CleanSpace barrier. Sarah also elected to install one of our Sedona Dehumidifiers to fully protect her crawl space from moisture and humidity.
Sarah reported that the musty smells have stopped and that she is so pleased to have her crawl space fully protected!
Stacy called Fortress Foundation Solutions after having enough of her uneven concrete drive way. One of the concrete segments had sunken and was a safety risk and an eyesore. Joe, our PolyLevel System Designer went out to her home and provided a free inspection and estimate. After reviewing, Stacy was happy and decided to move forward with the work. A few weeks later our PolyLevel crew went out to Stacy's home to repair her sunken driveway. We utilized our PolyLevel concrete leveling system to raise the sunken concrete slab and restore the safety and appearance of Stacy's driveway.
We strive to fix every home with top of the line materials! This client called Fortress Foundation Solutions about water collecting in their basement. Our System Designer, Caleb Stone, went out to their home, found the water seeping into the basement through the walls, and designed a solution himself for the issue. When our Foreman, Andre Luck (better known as "Lucky"), and his crew went out to fix the issue, they used the CleanSpace Wall Systems on the walls, as well as our WaterGuard drainage solution on the floor below to ensure that any water that was collected drained to the TripleSafe Sump Pump, which was then transferred to the discharge line outside of the home.
In Roanoke, Daniel had begun noticing signs of foundation settlement throughout his home. Cracks were starting to appear, and sections of the structure no longer felt level, indicating movement beneath the foundation. Concerned the problem would continue to worsen, he contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions for a professional inspection.
After evaluating the home, we determined that foundation settlement was causing the structural issues. To stabilize the home and help prevent further movement, Toby and his crew installed eight Helical Piers around the affected areas of the foundation.
These piers are designed to transfer the weight of the home to deeper, more stable soil, providing long-term structural support and foundation stability. As shown in the after photos, the home is now properly reinforced and protected from continued settlement, giving Daniel confidence that his foundation is secure for the future.
