In Roseland, Gary had been dealing with ongoing moisture issues in his 1,600-square-foot crawl space. The area felt damp, and signs of organic growth had started appearing throughout the space—raising concerns about the overall health and condition of the home. Without proper protection, excess moisture was continuing to create an unhealthy environment beneath the house.
To restore and protect the crawl space, Travis, Jack, and Tyler first treated the affected areas with MoldX to remove existing organic growth and improve the environment beneath the home. The crew then installed a CleanSpace® vapor barrier throughout the crawl space to seal out ground moisture and help maintain a dry, protected space.
To further improve the home's efficiency and comfort, SilverGlo™ insulation was installed along the crawl space walls to help regulate temperatures year-round. As shown in the after photos, the crawl space has been completely transformed into a clean, sealed, and healthier environment with long-term protection against future moisture problems.
In Roseland, VA, homeowners purchased a home "as is" and, during renovations, contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free evaluation to ensure the crawl space was structurally sound before rebuilding the floors. Sumner, our System Designer, performed the inspection and discovered failing floor joists, a rotted main beam, high humidity, insulation scattered throughout the crawl space, gaps and cracks allowing outside air to enter, and overall poor conditions.
Sumner developed a comprehensive repair plan and walked the homeowners through each recommendation. After approving the proposal, our Foreman Pete and his crew completed the project over the course of about a week.
The completed solution included a full crawl space encapsulation, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, SilverGlo wall insulation, sill plate replacement, main beam replacement, and extensive joist sistering. Today, these homeowners have a safe, stable, and healthier crawl space - providing a strong foundation they can confidently continue building their home on.
This client was worried about his broken, sunken concrete becoming a tripping hazard at his elderly mother's home, so he called Fortress Foundation Solutions to give him an estimate on repairing it. We sent out our System Designer, Caleb Stone, who did a thorough inspection and gave the client a quote. After the customer accepted, we sent out our Poly Crew, Mickey Knight and Dominique "Dom" Wells to fix the issue. They injected our PolyLevel Foam under the broken concrete to make it level, then sealed the cracks with our NexusPro Crack Repair. Our client loved his new, level concrete!
This Fishersville homeowner was dealing with both foundation settlement and a bowing basement wall. These structural issues threatened the stability of the home and required a permanent repair solution.
Tyler and his crew installed 3 Helical Piers to stabilize the settling foundation and 3 GeoLock Wall Anchors to reinforce the bowing wall and prevent further movement. As shown in the after photos, the home's foundation is now properly supported and the wall has been permanently stabilized for long-term protection.
A homeowner in Mathias, West Virginia, had a significant amount of standing water in their crawl space. They reached out directly to our System Designer, Adam, who conducted a thorough inspection.
Although Adam recommended a full crawl space encapsulation with SilverGlo™ insulation, a CleanSpace® vapor barrier, drainage matting, and a dehumidifier to protect the home's long-term health, the homeowner's primary concern was addressing the standing water.
Adam designed a water management solution centered around a SuperSump Plus system. The sump pump was installed to collect the water and discharge it approximately 20 feet away from the home's foundation, helping keep the crawl space dry and prevent future water accumulation.
