The customer was pleased with the proposal and went forward with the work. Our crews installed a water proofing system with a sump pump, covered with dimple matting and our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier system to give this customer peace of mind!

This homeowner near Woodbine, Maryland was experiencing issues with sagging floors. They noticed a crack in the wall by their bedroom door frame, which is a common symptom of settlement. Knowing Fortress Foundation Solution's expertise in this area, they called for a solution. Our system designer went out and gave them a free estimate and presented a plan to solve their issue. Our crew then went out and installed SmartJacks to stabilize and lift the floors back to their original position. The floor was stabilized and lifted, and even closed the crack! This homeowner in Arlington, Virginia had been dealing with water in his basement. He attempted to remedy the basement flooding issue with an inefficient open sump pump. Not only could this generic sump pump not keep the basement dry, but it not being sealed properly posed other issues. The open sump allowed moisture from the water it did collect to escape out into the space, which was causing the air to be humid and smell musty. He decided he needed a permanent fix, so he called Fortress Foundation Solutions. Our system designer went to the home and gave a free estimate and designed a system to remedy the problem. Fortress installed a waterproofing system that included our SuperSump pump, which is capable of pumping 2,200 gallons of water per hour. This SuperSump was installed with our UltraSump battery back up system that continues to pump up to 11,500 gallons of water during a power outage. All of our sump systems are air tight so moisture and smells can't escape into the air of the home.
