Sagging Floor & Wood Working Repair in Grottoes, Virginia

Sandra was dealing with structural issues beneath her Grottoes home, including sagging floors, rotted floor joists, and a deteriorating sill plate. These problems were weakening the home's support system and causing noticeable instability throughout the structure.

To restore the home's structural integrity, Nate and his crew installed 4 SmartJack supports, added a supplemental beam, sistered 8 damaged joists, and replaced the deteriorated sill plate.

Bowing Wall Repair in Timberville, Virginia

In Timberville, John S. was dealing with a serious foundation issue in his basement after one wall developed significant inward bowing over time. The movement had become severe enough to impact the overall stability of the home, with clear signs of structural pressure and wall failure visible throughout the affected area.

Following a full inspection, Warren and his crew determined that the wall required a combination of stabilization systems to properly secure the structure. To stop further inward movement and reinforce the basement wall from inside the home, the team installed nine PowerBrace™ support beams across the affected area.

For additional stabilization in key sections of the wall, two GeoLock™ Wall Anchors were also installed to help counteract the pressure from the surrounding soil outside the foundation. Together, these systems provided the long-term support needed to stabilize the failing wall.

As shown in the after photo, the basement wall is now fully reinforced and structurally secure. John can now enjoy peace of mind knowing his home has reliable, long-term foundation support in place.

Bowing Wall Repaired with GeoLocks Wall Anchors!

Trey in South Boston, Virginia was dealing with more than just a few foundation cracks—his basement walls were noticeably bowing inward, and it was getting worse over time. It had reached a point where the problem couldn’t be put off any longer.

After inspecting the basement, we found that pressure from the surrounding soil had caused significant movement in several walls. This called for a larger, more permanent stabilization solution.

Our crew installed a GeoLock wall anchor system to reinforce the affected walls. In total, 24 anchors were placed to provide even, reliable support. Each anchor extends from the basement wall into stable soil outside, helping counteract the pressure and hold the walls in place.

By the time the job was complete, the walls were stabilized and no longer at risk of continuing to move. For Trey, it meant peace of mind knowing the issue was properly handled and his home is now secure.

Crawl space encapsulation in Keezletown, VA

From dusty, musty, and humid to clean, dry, and usable again.

Homeowners in Keezletown, Virginia had been living with a damp and unhealthy crawl space for years. After seeing the results of their neighbor's crawl space encapsulation, they decided it was time to contact Fortress Foundation Solutions for an inspection.

System Designer Sonny performed a full evaluation of the crawl space, documenting his findings with photos and thoroughly explaining the issues to the homeowners. He educated them on what was happening beneath their home, what was causing the problems, why it was important to address them, and the long-term benefits of a professional crawl space encapsulation system.

Confident in Sonny's recommendations, the homeowners moved forward with the proposed solution. Foreman Nick and his crew then got to work, transforming the crawl space into a clean, dry, and healthier environment that will help protect the home for years to come.
