Fortress Foundation Solutions installed a CleanSpace Encapsulation, FoamMax Insulation, a SaniDry Dehumidifier, and a TripleSafe Sump Pump System with an external discharge.
In the before photo, it’s clear that this Richardsville, VA, crawl space was compromised, leading to unstable floors throughout the home. Recognizing the issue of weakened floor joists and foundation soil, we proposed our precise SmartJack® system as a remedy. Our team expertly installed galvanized steel columns on a robust 12-inch steel base to stabilize and restore the flooring to its appropriate elevation. As seen in the after photo, the previously sloping or bouncing floors are leveled and securely supported, ensuring lasting structural integrity for the homeowners.
Stephen K. had taken a look in his crawl space to see about some repairs. What he saw shocked him - mold and mildew on the woodwork, bugs and spider webs, falling down, moisture-saturated insulation, and stinky, musty smells. He called Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free estimate. A System Designer met with Stephen, inspected his crawl space and provided a free estimate for an encapsulation. Soon a Fortress crew was onsite installing drainage matting, SilverGlo insulation, CleanSpace vapor barrier, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The CleanSpace is in place to seal the home from the damp earth. Moisture and its damaging effects on the wood structure of the home are kept out. The SilverGlo is installed on the walls and insulates to keep the home warm in winter and cool in the summer. It is moisture resistant and won't get moldy or break down. The final step is the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. It removes moisture from the air keeping the crawl space dry. When Stephen looks into his crawl space now, it is clean, dry and he knows his home is protected!
Enzo has a beautiful pool and pool deck in Haymarket, Virginia. The pool deck is a combination of exposed aggregate concrete (pebbled concrete) and brick that creates a unique and aesthetically pleasing layout. Parts of the deck were sinking and Enzo was worried about his kids and friends stubbing their toes and tripping. He was also concerned for the health of his beautiful pool deck, so he called Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free estimate. One of our systems designers conducted the estimate and offered Enzo a permanent solution! Our concrete repair specialist used our PolyLevel Injection Foam, which is an expanding polyurethane foam that is injected beneath the concrete to fill the gaps caused by soil erosion and raise and stabilize the concrete surface. He then filled all the seams between sections of concrete with our NexusPro Joint Sealant. This prevents damage from water getting underneath the concrete where it can freeze and expand in cold temperatures. These pictures show the excellent job they did! Enzo and his family were excited to be able to enjoy the pool area and entertain friends worry free!
This homeowner in Smithsburg, MD called Fortress Foundation Solutions with concerns about water and moisture intrusion. Water came into the area with rain events and the area remained humid. Our System Designer knew after assessing the area that the best solution would be our WatergGuard system and our CleanSpace wall.
Our Foreman and his crew installed these products. The crew started by prepping the perimeter of the area for the Waterguard. Then they installed the Waterguard and sump pump. Once this was installed, the crew followed over with fresh cement for a clean look. The crew installed the Cleanspace wall to help prevent moisture from coming through the wall. Our SaniDry Dehumidifier was also installed to eliminate the moisture in the area.
