This customer in Fort Belvoir called Fortress Foundation Solutions after noticing water intrusion in their crawl space. Fortress sent a system designer out to conduct a free estimate and inspection. The customer was pleased with the proposal and went forward with the work. Our crews installed a water proofing system with a sump pump, covered with dimple matting and our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier system to give this customer peace of mind!
Homeowners in Alexandria, VA, were looking to make their home more comfortable, especially during the extreme temperatures of summer and winter. No matter how much they ran their air conditioning or heat, they noticed little improvement in comfort while their energy bills continued to rise.
They reached out to Fortress Foundation Solutions for a free inspection, and our System Designer, Matt, conducted a thorough evaluation of the crawl space. With years of industry experience, Matt quickly identified several issues, including open crawl space vents, exposed dirt, the absence of a dehumidifier, and an improperly sealed crawl space entry door.
To permanently address these problems, Matt recommended a complete crawl space encapsulation. His solution included a CleanSpace® vapor barrier, SilverGlo™ insulation, a SuperSump® pump to manage groundwater, and a high quality dehumidifier to keep the crawl space clean, dry, and healthy year-round.
With this complete encapsulation system, the homeowners can enjoy a more comfortable home, improved energy efficiency, and peace of mind knowing their crawl space is protected from moisture and humidity.

This client wanted a standard encapsulation by a trustworthy company in her crawl space, so she contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions. Our System Designer, Skylar Beverage, went out and mapped out a solution for her, and soon after, our crew went out to encapsulate her crawl space. They laid down our Drainage Matting before installing our SilverGlo Insulation on the walls, our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier on the ground, and sealing it with our Rim Joist Insulation. We left our customer with a wonderfully clean, sealed crawl space!
