A homeowner in Reston, Virginia contacted Fortress Foundation Solutions after noticing significant bowing in their block basement walls. Water building in the soil outside the foundation had created something called hydrostatic pressure, pushing the walls inward over time. Concerned about worsening movement, the homeowner wanted a solution that addressed both the walls and problem. A complete basement waterproofing system was also installed to collect and redirect water, helping relieve the hydrostatic pressure contributing to the bowing.
