Foundation Repair Photo Album: Bowing Walls Repaired in Elkton, Virginia
Jodi and Jeff in Elkton had been watching a few small cracks in their basement walls, but over time, those cracks started to grow—and some areas even began to bow inward. Not wanting things to get worse, they reached out for a free inspection. We found that pressure from the surrounding soil was pushing on the walls, causing the movement.
After talking through the options, they decided to move forward with a solution that would fully stabilize the space. Our crew installed CarbonArmor® straps in areas with minor movement to prevent further cracking, and added PowerBrace™ beams where the walls needed stronger support.
Now, their basement walls are secure and no longer shifting—and Jodi and Jeff can relax knowing their home is protected for the long run.
